Without God The United States of America will crumble

About SimpleLivingOver50

At 53 years old I am starting to realize how life changes both physically and emotionally. I strive for a life of simplicity. I am winning the battle with type II diabetes, created a plan to have all debt paid off in 4 years including the house, taking advantage of every opportunity to live life to it's fullest through adventures in nature, hiking, biking, loving and learning.

  1. Christopher says:

I keep coming back to the commandments of Jesus Christ, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

What we’ve forgotten is the second part. We don’t look after our neighbours. We don’t have to like our neighbours or be like them but we do need to help them and they need to help us.

We make these changes to our lives and society and the world will be whole again.

  2. If you let take the Godless in and let them diktat how you live, what else do you expect.
If you let ‘the money’ rule as well, you get same thing.

It’s becoming hard to find a Christian country that has not been tainted by doing so.

Minds me of “Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius”.
Something I feel will happen soon enough.
Only I’m hoping it’s be Christian against the rest and not the other way around.

  3. Marcia Stehouwer says:

The history of North America since the coming of the Europeans have never been about honouring God. I think we like to believe this is not so, but an examination of the history of both Canada and the United States speaks to a different reality. It has always been about money and the protection of those who had it at the beginning and who have it now. It is never about those to whom we are to extend our help and fellowship. I believe this to be true regardless of your political affiliation or your passport. We really need to rethink the way we perceive ourselves and our God.

    • Christopher Tilley says:

I think you make a very good point about how money has replaced God’s love in people’s hearts. The Republican $1.4 trillion give away to millionaires and billionaires is an example of such greed and now they’re talking about gutting Medicare and Social Security to pay for the cuts. So, the people who can least afford it are going to pay for tax cuts to the rich.

YES—I BELIEVE IT POSSIBLE. MANY–TOO MANY–IGNORE OR HATE HIM–AND WE WHO ARE BELIEVERS IN HIM.
