Diabesity Challenge Day #54 – Just Another Day

I had one of those days yesterday where I suffered from low energy pretty much all day from the time I woke until the time I went to bed. I pretty much ate a normal diet all day until the time I came home from work. Then it was game on. I drank a six pack of beer and ate a shitload of these lovely little Mexican treats called Taquitos. So I sit before you this morning with a bit of a hangover and a belly full of crap. Oh, well.

I worked out like a beast all week and once again brought all my strength building routines to new levels. I challenged my body with every ounce of energy I could muster and by Friday my body was sending me those messages to rest. With the weekend at hand I will give my body the reward it deserves by taking it easy.

I have completed my creatine loading period which I started Monday by taking 5 grams of creatine 4 times per day for five days. Starting today I will take just 5 g per day once on the Morning for the next 49 days or seven weeks.

I did get on the treadmill this morning and knock out a 30 minute interval training period and I am thinking about doing one late this afternoon also. I know I was discussing trying to do this same interval training on the treadmill right after work on Mon, Wed and Fri but I have yet to find the inspiration. I will continue to work on this as I know it will help both with energy at the end of each day and also fat burning.

One of the area’s of this program is intermittent fasting and I know that I really haven’t discussed it much. I have pretty much closed the fasting window to 12 hours each day. While doing a minimal workout I was able to extend the fast out a few more hours each day, but with the intense body building routine I am doing it is just as important to feed the cells in my muscles that I have damaged. It’s pretty easy as I simply stop eating at 6:00 PM and don’t eat again until 6:00 AM.

Wow… I think you are right to listen to your body and give yourself a break when it says you should. I am certainly no expert on exercise, but I’m sure that you are consulting someone on that and are doing it with medical input. I would certainly be done in by your regime but am cheering you on for the result you seek.

  2. I have found intermittant fasting to be really effective.
