Diabesity Challenge Day #46- A1C Test Day

a1cMy blood sugar is high again this morning at 119 and for the life of me I can’t figure out why other than that darn inflammation that comes when the body tries to heal. I am lifting very heavy and believe that extreme and inflammation go hand in hand. I will be doing LEGS this morning with some SITUPS but continue to fast until after 9:00 AM as I have a doctor’s appointment this morning to get an A1C test done. Once again I woke up late so I am pushing through my morning at super human speed. This post will have to be brief today.

I always feel a bit stressed right before getting an A1C test done as it identifies  with scientific biochemical accuracy exactly what the results are of what ever efforts I make, but also points out the mistakes. If it’s a little higher I think about all of the workouts I missed and all of the junk that I ate. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it could be an indicator that if I continue doing things that I am not supposed to do it could minimize my life span here on earth. So, yea I am feeling a bit stressed the last few days.

  1. My numbers have been up as well. The key is to never give up. Never stop trying. Never stop adjusting. Never stop trying new strategies. Good luck with the test! Let us know how it goes.

  2. facetfully says:

You are much smarter than I am about this, but I wonder how much stressing about it causes a rise in your blood sugar?

  3. I find that when I do strength training my blood sugars are usually higher the next morning as well. I don’t know if it’s stress hormones being released due to the stress of the exercise on the body…who knows. I still haven’t been able to figure it out. Good luck with your A1C!
