This morning I am back into the swing of things after a few days off. I have started my split daily sessions with one day being cardio and next being strength training. I have slowed down my pace significantly on the treadmill this morning and plan to start reducing weight in my strength training exercises tomorrow. These changes are directly tied to the amount of inflammation my body is producing to heal muscles after workouts. The only other choice I would have is to do a complete workout every other day and this may be a future option if I don’t start seeing the results I am looking for.
May allergies seem to be under control with taking a 24 hour time release Allegra each morning and yesterday was the first day in the last three where I felt good energy all day.
Yesterday was also a day full of carbohydrates where I ate a bowl of oatmeal in the morning, a Boars Head turkey sandwich on 12 grain bread for lunch, and for dinner we went out to a local restaurant for pizza, clams and beer. I know, I know. You don’t have to say it.
Sometimes it’s easy to push ourselves beyond our limits, but trying to maintain this state day in and day out is just not sustainable. The bottom line is that I feel good. Things will not always be perfect, but as long as I am maintaining a workout each day and eating the best I can most of the time, good enough may just be good enough.
