Diabesity War – Day #1

take-back-your-health-reversing-diabesity-with-community-based-medicineToday I declare Day Number 1 of this new venture I call “The Diabetes War”. It will be a 1 year project to making vital changes in my life that I believe through my many years of study will change the course of my current condition in a positive way. The details of this project are written in my previous post you can find here.

Today is Sunday and typically I would be up working out already, but today we are babysitting our lovely Granddaughter who is still sleeping in her crib in the room just over the garage where the treadmill is located. So today I will be delaying my workout until the afternoon.

In my experience I have learned that body fat pretty much burns at the same rate throughout my body besides that fact that it stores more around my waist. So I understand that to see fat loss at my midsection I must first see it in other parts of my body. I will see a thinner face, more muscle tone in my arms and shoulders, and my wedding band will become looser.

My workouts aren’t extreme will be performed each day only as a catalyst to the last six hours of the daily fast. The question is what will the combination of walking, light weight training, fasting and a healthy diet each day take me in 365 days? Can it be the answer I have been searching for since I was first diagnosed with Type II Diabetes?

We shall see… Now let me get this first started.
Blood Sugar- 131
Body Weight- 186.8

Distance- 2.61 miles
Time- 40:09 minutes
Calories Burned- 297.6

Calf Raises – 200 lbs – 15
