I just wanted to stop in an give a brief update on my thought of the new MAC financial program I started using. It is called Banktivity 5 which is actually the newest version of Ibank . Like any new program it took a little time to get used to. I have been reading the manual and tweaking things for days now and believe that I have gotten to the point of comfort.
It is certainly not Mint or Quicken by any means as far as overall looks. The screen is rather dull and unattractive but it does an incredible job tracking all of my accounts and keeping me up to date with my daily finances. With direct connections to my bank I can even utilize a free tool called Bill Pay where I can pay my bills through the program if I wish. I still prefer using the billing web site to make these transactions, but I may come around in the future.
There are certain things I miss about Mint like getting up to date estimates of my houses value each week, but I have learned to do that through Zillow and simply change the figure in my home value account in Banktivity. Mint also gave me an up to date credit score every six months, but as I am still running Mint with minimum accounts set up I can always view these updates through Mint.
In the world of health the Window Fast I have been doing is working out well. I find it easy to simply skip breakfast each day which means that I go 18 hours each day without eating. With any new changes like this of course it takes up to 21 days to realize the benefits as the body is always stubborn to any changes. The good thing is that with a feeling of relief today from local allergies I was able to hit the treadmill for 20 minutes. I know it won’t be long before I am down to my 170 pound summer self and feel the energy to climb mountains once again. I took a picture of my shirtless self today and will do the same as I go through this program to monitor changes throughout.
