Life is pretty much what you make of it. The thoughts we have lead to the actions we take each day. If we are taking negative actions each day then it is our thought process we must first look at.
When you think about some of the actions you have taken or decisions that you have made that weren’t in your best interest you have to think about what you were thinking about before you took those actions. Sometimes we take what we believe to be positive actions only to learn that they too were not in our interest.
It can only be through the practice of mindfulness where we really thing about our thoughts before we take action. Are these thoughts I am having in true value to the beliefs I have? Are my thoughts being influenced by something outside myself?
Before you purchase that next item simply walk away from that sales person or significant other and really think about what you are about to do. Think about your needs and wants and try to distinguish the difference between both. You may need a car but you don’t want a $400.00 per month payment for the next 5 years. Get in tune with yourself before signing anything.
