Family Emergency

EmergencyLast night we had a family emergency. We were at the hospital most of the night and all turned out well. Grandchild number 5 is six months in the making while our daughter-in-law’s appendix decided that it didn’t want to hand around. With the baby it make things complicated but like I said, everything went well.

Nobody likes dealing with situations like these but being there is what family does. We show our support and the deep seated love we feel for those who are a part of our lives. It is one thing to say we care, but something completely different to show we care. Sometimes we have to leave our comfort zones and walk our talk.

It is obvious that I slept much later than I usually do and ended up taking the day off of work. I got around 5 hours sleep in and will be looking forward to a much needed nap later. I have decided to continue my workout today even though I won’t be taking it to the level I would like.
