I am feeling pretty beat up this morning after working shoulders yesterday and really feeling sore from doing heavy shrugs. This was the only exercise that I did not reduce the weight on because for me it seems to be such an easy exercise to perform. Apparently my muscles don’t agree. LOL. I will get past this and do appreciate the feeling that my body feels like it has been truly worked and I am also thankful that I have the ability to perform such a task.
I started protein supplementation yesterday with a protein shake in the morning to start feeding those muscles that I am working. All problems that I had that one day with IBS have seemed to have passed and since I started doubling up on probiotics each day things have returned to normal. I feel good, I feel strong and ready to work towards the best I can be.
On the work front a new opportunity has presented itself to me in the field of housing. I was approached with the opportunity of working as a Code Compliance Inspector in the City I work for. Although it is just a limited term position that will end on June 30th of next year the city is hoping to get the funding to make it a permanent position. Even if they don’t it still gives me exposure to the opportunity to learn something new and I can work towards getting certain certifications that could fuel a whole new career for me. I am very excited as I will have new goals to work towards. Patience and perseverance while performing the best job you can in a current position have always been my means to allowing new opportunities to come my way. Nothing is written in stone yet so I will keep my fingers crossed as I start to study the things I need to know for this position.
