My blood sugar is up this morning and I know why.I will be working legs this morning and this always brings it down as there is great demand for energy in doing squats alone. My body weight is down to 175 so I am halfway there to my goal of hitting 170 by September 20th.
I ate another BLT for lunch yesterday and of course I ate the bread. In the afternoon I ate a handful of potato chips and dinner was a roasted chicken, mashed potato’s with gravy and peas. So my high blood sugar was a result of eating just 2 slices of bread, a few potato chips and mashed potato’s with gravy at dinner. It doesn’t sound like it should be a problem but eating potato’s late without any course of burning it off means that the sugar that was formed just sat there in my blood stream. This is not good and I have to learn to reduce the amount of carbs I take in at dinner time, or start finding a way to burn it off after dinner.
We rented the movie “Wild” yesterday with stars Reese Witherspoon. It was interesting to me because I knew so much about the territory that she was hiking in and hiked a few of the same trails here in Oregon. It made me think about the indigenous people who moved from area to area when the weather changed and all of the challenges they must have faced. As far as her character was concerned I don’t want to give up too much information as whoever is reading this post might not of seen it yet. I do recommend this movie to anyone who love an adventure.
