burn-fat-fastAnd just like that my body weight is back up two pounds in just one day. Well, it really doesn’t matter too much as I am right back on schedule with this workout on a Monday morning. I am feeling good and ready to take on this second week of concentrated effort towards burning fat. I am back to where I am supposed to be with just doing one isolated, concentrated set of each wight lifting exercise of each group each day while giving most of my energy to cardio exercise. I really don’t care if my overall body weight goes up 10 pounds, as long as I am burning the excess fat from it.

At this point I believe that my early morning workout routine will simply come natural to me once again and overall if I really want to burn fat I must work on my diet. I have to feed the muscles that I work, while restricting the carbohydrates to a minimum each day to allow my body to utilize the stored fat as energy. This is a delicate process with Type II Diabetes, but it certainly can be done. I will continue to eat a yogurt each day along with a little bit of sauerkraut to keep my digestive system working correctly, but I really have to think about not eating those things that I have been eating lately like bread, rice and pasta. These things certainly do reverse any efforts I am making towards burning fat and not helping with blood sugar balance one bit.

    Good morning early bird..your two weigh gain could be nothing more than water….glad to see your not focused on that…hell just getting stung can make you numbers go up…your body was in repair mode….sounds like your doing well….remeber to much sauerkraut can cause the enzymes to get out of balance..
    Daily, to me seems excessive… Just a thought…. have a great day …kat

    My hopefully helpful comment is to read MarksDailyApple.com to learn about eating like I do, the Paleo lifestyle. Just check it out and decide for yourself but it was the best decision I ever made for my body and my life!!

      • Thanks Kimberly, I have so many already. I have been eating paleo for well over a year now but am learning that the diet is not completely sustainable and needs some minor readjustments. I know it works for some, but not all. With Type II Diabetes I have to always find that fine line. But for the most part I tend to lean more towards Robb Wolf’s basic eating plan. The key for me is more dark green leafy vegetables and very little meat. I need to eat carbs at certain times of the day to keep my blood sugar from going too low and usually opt for sweet potato’s. I love seafood and also make it a part of my protein allowance.

    all good choices! sounds like you are managing quite well. Good for you! I continue to strive for optimal weight and getting firmer. My exercise is limited but i do like to walk and swim. I believe in and use essential oils daily and love the paleo lifestyle and diet. I lost 25 lbs. and my health is great, however, I have PKD so I really have to baby my kidneys and in fact, I need a new dr. and a newer scan to be sure the cysts are not getting bigger. Currently, I have tmtc but at least they were small. I will keep you posted once I get a sonogram and a report from a new doc. Good luck to you as well!

    • Oh yes, please stay on top of that PKD. It is fantastic that you lost 25 lbs. Sounds like you are on top of things. That is good. In the end we can only rely on ourselves for optimal health.
