Recommended Changes to Dietary Guidelines

Low Carb RN (CDE)

We have been waiting for the dietetic community to embrace what many of us have long since come to know about the healthiness of saturated fat and cholesterol and about the lack of scientific data behind the current food guidelines.  Basically, we’ve been waiting until they embrace this…

Today, I am thrilled to share this post!

“According to the US academy of dieticians report, they now accept that 1. Cholesterol is not a nutrient of concern. 2 Saturated fat has been unfairly demonised and there is not one single trial that links saturated fat with cardiovascular disease. 3. It’s logical really, isn’t it, that carbs are going to be worse than fat, if you think that our bodies haven’t changed since we were hunter-gatherers. And look at the explosion in allergies to wheat/gluten. You don’t see this reaction over a leg of lamb, do you now?
