My First Day of Spring

first-day-of-spring-2It’s Monday morning and I feel an incredible amount of energy this morning as I jumped out of bed and am ready to take on the world. I believe that this feeling may be what I call my own personal Spring break as yesterday was the first day we sat outside and ate dinner in the comfort of nature. There is always a transformation inside that happens this time of year where I just want to be active and is always the period where I can count on dropping over 10 lbs as the sky’s are brighter and the days are longer. Outside it appears that Spring has actively been working hard to bring this day alive inside of me. I too will be working hard until the dog days of summer arrive and I will be working closely with nature as I raise my beds of vegetables and hike into the vastness of green painted forests. Those trails of comfort will guide me to the magnificence of our natural world, and I do look forward to sharing these times with you.

I believe that for each of us Spring starts at different times, but when we feel it, we know it. The feeling it brings is one of life in it’s purest form and many don’t even know that it is happening. It is the start of picnics, camping trips and camp fires at night. It is the sound of children playing carelessly in the park as parents watch and talk of plans for the season. The sports area’s fill with those filled with life as they play their games of passion. Slowly people fill the streets and neighborhoods walking and talking of happy times. Yes, everyone begins their own personal Spring inside and soon spend more time outside. Spring has arrived and all is right in the world.
