Tulip Fest 2015 at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn Oregon

tulipfestThere is nothing better for waking up all of those positive emotions like seeing nature at it’s finest with flowers. We did just that yesterday at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon.

The skies were a bit overcast, but the temperature was moderate as we walked through acres and acres of tulip fields. There were rides and attractions for the kids and plenty of local food venders and artists selling their goods. When we first arrived we were able to hop on a tractor train that drove us out to the fields.

It was an incredible feeling seeing all of these bright and vibrant colors that only nature can provide. Yes, Spring has sprung here in Oregon. Enjoy the photo’s.

    So pretty when in bloom.

  2. I love the pictures of those beautifully restored steam engines. Although they are before my time, there is a annual steam show an hours drive from my home. Have gone to it a couple of times. Very fascinating.
Love the tulips, a bit envious though. We still have a foot of snow (snowed last night again), but there has been days above freezing lately! πŸ™‚

    • Carl, it was amazing. The steam engine were actually running. I used to see the snow as an opportunity for a good workout each time it came down, but after a while all I yearned for was Spring.

  3. James says:

My wife gets insanely excited when the tulips start to bloom around our house.

  4. I love tulips! I just wish they would last longer!

I used to take my boys out to Woodburn for Tulip Festival, they loved it. I have a picture of my younger son (always the more energetic one) at two years old, pulling a yellow tulip flower with bulb attached and everything right out of the middle of that field up there in your photo. By the time I turned around he had already done it. The picture is sitting right here on my desk, one of my favorites. πŸ™‚
