03-14-15 – Saturday – Simply Amazing

2013-07-31T21-31-30_3So here I am down in Miami Florida sitting at a table near the pool at 6:00 AM in our Hotel. As my laptop beckons for me to write, all I can think about was last night. I met my granddaughter for the first time after 9 months since she was born. I fell totally in love with this little girl and feel as if I never want to leave Miami. She is a very lucky girl with two incredible parents who are the main source for those bright happy eyes, smiles and giggles. I am proud of them both as they have entered the journey of parenthood that involves so much confusion, frustration, joy and happiness.

The love of a grand child is a different kind of love than that of a child. It wasn’t too long ago in human history when it was a miracle to live to such an age. We truly live in a remarkable time where if chosen it is possible to live to over 100 years. Staying in good health, avoiding doing stupid things and keeping your mind active gives us all the opportunity to get there or get as close as we can. This brings us into the area of Great Grandchildren. Simply Amazing.

So as I get back to my routine each day I now have a vision in my head to maintain my good health and work hard as it will most important to be the best I can be for this wonderful miracle of a child. Today I am looking at my blood sugar in the high range once again and have pretty come to the conclusion that I will not see numbers under 100 again until I am back into that world where I am working out and eating correctly. Last night I did eat very well as my son prepared an incredible dish of salmon and kale salad. And I did have other great meals on our trip, but overall there have been things that I would never have eaten here on vacation that I eat at home. And today I want Cuban food. LOL

Blood Sugar – 110
