03-06-15 – Friday – Doctors Visit Today

tumblr_mbdhu3Y7hP1r1yqxpThis morning I am totally fasting, which means that I am not even drinking black coffee as I am preparing for a visit to see my primary care physician. On the menu for today is a six month review and blood test to see where my A1C is at. The fast is a lot easier to do now than it was 6 months ago as I have been practicing it each weekend, but I still miss my morning coffee.

Today I have decided to do a simple 2 set maintenance routine with arms. Without eating this morning I really don’t want to allow my blood sugar to get too low and I know that by doing the full sets just may do that. Both my blood sugar and body weight are a little higher this morning than I am comfortable with, but as always they will change.

Today I will be preparing for my early morning flight out tomorrow to Tampa. I have prepared a list and will make sure I pack all of the things I need. The one good thing about going to Florida is that I don’t have to worry about too much clothing as I anticipate just wearing shorts and sandals. I am not a big fan of flying as I find the whole thing very stressful. Will I make it to the airport on time? Will the security lines be overwhelming? Will my flights leave on time? Who will be sitting next to me on the flight? But it certainly is better than driving there.

  1. That’s great that you are dedicated to eating properly to manage diabetes! I had gestational diabetes while pregnant and was able to control it with a low-carb diet. Which, thankfully was easy to do since I normally eat low-carb any way. The doc believes I may actually have some sugar issues (outside of pregnancy) but I haven’t got it checked yet :/ I feel better without eating starch, carbs, and sugar though, I always have. I am intrigued by Paleo lifestyle, but don’t practice it. Sounds natural and what we as human beings should do anyway! Makes sense to me lol. Good luck & keep it up!
