It looks like this will be first day in a long line of days off of work. I have off until March 18th and pretty much have some time to get some things done that I have been putting off. I have the raised bed project to finish off and get ready for planting season, I have filing tasks that need much attention, and getting that garage cleaned up.
I have been working on and off in a full time position where I move into temporary positions and again return to the full time position. The full time position doesn’t start back up until March 18th. This is why I will have so much time off. But we are making the best of it. We will be flying to Tampa, FL on March 7th, which is also my birthday, spend some time with one grandchild, then drive down to Miami, FL to spend time with the other Grandchild. We will then fly back to Oregon on March 17th, which is Sharon’s Birthday. So both of our Birthdays will be spent in the air this year.
While Sharon will have to work I will have time alone. I am hoping to make the best of this time by getting out and doing some day hiking. Time with nature is much needed right now. I like to find certain quiet spots to relax and meditate and really make that connection. So come on rain, take a break for me.
The daily workout is progressing in a positive direction. I have noticed that I am slowly starting to put on a little body weight as my muscles continue to get larger with these bowflex workouts. I think that I am getting closer to start thinking out getting the treadmill back in the mix. My abs are starting to take shape and if I keep up the pace I will be sporting a nice six pack for the summer. I am happy with where my blood sugar has been over the last month and I know that if I dropped the weight lifting it would be even lower, but I want to see it come down even with the strength training. So I will continue on my path for now and see where it gets me. I will take baby steps towards getting in the raw vegetables that I so desperately need in my diet. I am trying for a salad a few times a week and try to build up to a salad daily. I am missing out on those dark leafy greens and I know it.
