Living simply and finding meaning in life can be about mindset and priority. More than anything, one’s priority can be about ridding life of hassle and busyness, and one’s mindset can center on finding enjoyment and rest in life.
When I think of philosophy, I often think of existential or life questions. As can be seen from my other posts, my woodworking has me thinking lately about what it means to live simply. The philosophical part of me has continued to wonder (as I have often wondered in the past), “What makes life meaningful, and what is the purpose of life?” As any philosopher or even a quick internet search can tell you, there are many answers to that question. Today I would like to approach this question from a philosophical perspective rather than a theological one, and my own theological framework will influence how I approach it.
