Should Women Lift Weights?

I Love My Muscles!

A recent (and very common query) from a loyal reader–

Dear Old Broad,

Should I use weights when I work out?

Wanting to Look Toned and Sculpted

Dear Wanting,

If I had a nickel for every time a woman asked me that question I would have, well, about a hundred nickels.

Let’s get straight to the correct answer:

Women who lift weights build muscle mass which results in increased metabolism, power and ass-kicking ability.

The great news is that unless you sport a beard, testicles and/or Adam’s apple, you don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of waking up one morning with rippling thighs and bulging biceps.

Need further convincing? Do these female lifters look scary?

Or do they look strong, confident and happy?

Happy Lifting!

Just Say “NO!” To Drugs

I'm uncharacteristically speechless.
