OK folks, it is day #4 of having this cold and yesterday I had a major breakthrough. My nose stopped running and I regained 90% of my energy. I know my body is still fighting the foreign invaders this morning so I will not go and jump into a workout for the sake of allowing my immune system to clean up the battle field. I do find it amazing just how quickly I got over this cold. Others at work have been battling it for over two weeks. I attribute this victory to multiple things. I am in good physical shape, I quit smoking, I have a well balanced diet and I provided my body with plenty of rest.
I am happy with both my blood sugar being under 100 this morning and my body weight dropping to yet another all time low since I started getting healthy. With this and the combination of my cold going away it certainly makes for a great start to the weekend. I may just spend much quiet time this weekend trying to finish up Robb Wolf’s, The Paleo Solution and watch the Seattle Seahawks try to beat the Greenbay Packers.
I listened to Angelo Coppola’s most recent podcast yesterday on Humans are not Broken. Angelo stirred up a great deal of interest in something that I have been thinking a great deal about. Angelo moved his paleo way of eating to more of a vegan’s diet but with good healthy meats. I couldn’t agree more as I remember how good I felt when I was a vegan. I actually loved the vegan diet other than that I felt like I was hungry all of the time. But by simply adding good healthy grass fed meats this would make for a perfect whole foods diet. Angelo you inspire me.
