01-13-15 – Tuesday – Rest for Replenishment

I have a little tickle in my throat this morning. I very rarely get sick, but when I feel something like this I know I need to rest a bit and allow my body to utilize all of it’s energy on the immune system. After the great workout I experienced yesterday I have the feeling like I want to keep pushing forward, but I have to mindful of times like these. It is so easy to get addicted to the workout and the progress that I forget sometimes that there is also great value in the resting periods. The human body is not designed to work on a continual basis as there are other systems in place that also need energy for rebuilding and replenishing. So, just for today I will rest and save my reserves for the armies inside my body to concentrate on any foreign invaders it needs to battle and destroy and we shall see what tomorrow brings.

On the upside, my weight once again has hit a new low in body weight and my blood sugar is way below 100.

Blood Sugar – 85, Weight – 168.4

Breakfast – 2 Eggs, 2 Sausage
Lunch – Scallops, Broccoli
Dinner – Ribs, Butternut Squash
