Shoulder is feeling better and I am back on the horse again. I think that this shoulder pain is simply a symptom of the many years I threw a football and played tennis. I am learning that I am not the only 50 something who once played in sports and is experiencing aches and pains. It may be something I will just need to live with. I can do that. Stupid Aging!

About SimpleLivingOver50

At 53 years old I am starting to realize how life changes both physically and emotionally. I strive for a life of simplicity. I am winning the battle with type II diabetes, created a plan to have all debt paid off in 4 years including the house, taking advantage of every opportunity to live life to it's fullest through adventures in nature, hiking, biking, loving and learning.

  1. PigLove says:

Mom feels you. Aging sucks. All kinds of weird things start happening to your bodies. Mom and dad have been complaining about some major joint pains in the past couple of weeks as well. XOXO – Bacon

  2. Hmm. Maybe its just the weather…..

  3. Tony says:

I think you would be better off on the positive side. Instead of complaining about what you don’t have, enjoy what you do have. Remember, there are lots of folks, sicker/worse off, who would give anything to change places with you.

    • Yea, I know Tony. I do understand that and I am grateful each day for the things that I do have. Sometimes I push myself very hard because I know in my heart that humans are capable of great things when they stayed focused on getting something done. I don’t mean to insult anyone, I am just a man on a mission to win the war on Type II Diabetes. As I age I know I will face all kinds of new challenges and each one I will approach with the same attitude, yet I always manage to find all of the wonderful things that surround me in my life each day. I wish I had more time in my day to write about all of these wonderful things.

  4. Yep. I know what you mean about playing sports and getting aches and pains later in life. Played rugby at school for years and then started to get into wild water canoeing in a serious way and now i get aches and pains in my joints especially when its a bit damp.
