11-11-14 – Tuesday – Preventing a Shoulder Injury

So I did everything just about right yesterday, yet my blood sugar is still high today. I have been eating a snack that I got from Trader Joes and it may be in question a problem to my newly risen blood sugar levels. It is a small pack of almonds, cashews and dark chocolate. The dark chocolate might just be the what is filling my blood stream with sugar. Other than that it was eggs for breakfast cooked in butter, beef broth for lunch with vegetables, steak and roasted peppers for dinner with cauliflower. I drank water all day and cut out the alcohol. So, I am going to continue eating these tasty little snack, but cut out the chocolate morsels and see where it takes me.

I have some shoulder pain going on this morning an attempted to do chest exercises but quickly decided against it in favor of allowing the shoulder to heal from the last couple of workouts. As competitive as I feel this morning it would be stupid to take a chance on getting an injury. The shoulder is one of those area’s that is delicate and a hot spot for surgeon’s to make Mercedes payments. It’s OK because I need to spend some time on the treadmill anyway.
